For my first review I had to start with a Diplo track. The dude is my all time favorite producer and 99% of his shit is gold! Thomas Wesley Pentz AKA Diplo is a go anywhere, try anything kinda guy with a mantra for exploring, discovering and mastering pretty much any style of big bass music he turns his hand to. Head of Mad Decent records, a power house in the EDM scene, he’s also responsible at the back end of more popular music than you probably know!
The track I’ve chosen to speak on is Biggie Bounce. A collab track between Diplo and the Jakarta born prodigy that is Angger Dimas with lyrics thrown in from Hip Hop group Travis Porter. A New Orleans bounce track that is undoubtedly one of Diplo’s favorite sounds to produce. If this doesn’t at least get that head nodding, see a Doctor! From the outset with its rolling snare and low blaring horn it’s distinctly clear that this is a Diplo track and bares similarities to last years smash record Express Yourself and even features some chopped lyrics from that track thrown in. The punching bass-line and multiple change ups keep’s things fresh throughout and is guaranteed to make any club roar! A true NOLA banger!
