What Can I Expect At MADE Birmingham Part 1

MADE Birmingham’s Digbeth Triangle is only a year old – making its début in 2014 – but has already manage to garner itself a HUGE following and firmly set its place among the UK’s ‘Must Attend’ events.  The one day festival is back for 2015 with a MASSIVE array of big names from the Bass Music and House Scenes.

In the run up to MADE Birmingham we’ll showcase a selection of acts (in no particular order) and what you could possibly expect to hear dropped into a set!   LET’S GO!

True legends and ultimate veterans of the Bass Music scene, Mark and Dom have been smashing sets all over the world for almost two decades.  Their distinctive, powerful, drum-based sound is instantly recognisable and the duo have always championed a serious beat over anything else.  Known more for their unforgettable remixes of iconic tracks and the world renowned Stanton Sessions Mix Tapes – the boys have also released some club destroying originals over the years including the smash ‘Still Here’.  Make sure you don’t miss Stanton’s at MADE.  They are known to put out one hell of a live set!

A man who should need absolutely no introduction, Mr Rodigan has been an absolute stalwart of UK dance culture and a big pusher of Reggae and Dancehall in the UK.  Involved in music and DJing pretty much all his life, David says he first discovered his love of Jamaican music in 1964 listening to ‘My Boy Lollipop’ by Millie Small and ever since then he’s been hooked.  David has helmed an illustrious career that his seen him work with an endless list of names.  Along with Chase & Status, Shy FX and MC Rage; he formed the soundsystem Rebel Sound which went onto win the Rebel Culture Clash event on 2014.  Rodigan has also earned himself an MBE in 2012 for his tireless service to the British music industry.

Lee Foss is another DJ on the verge of surpassing legend status.  The Chicago native has been honing his skills – both on the decks and production duties – and has made a name for himself as one of the very best mix masters in the business playing such iconic venues around the world like Fabric London, The Standard Rooftop LA, Warehouse Project Manchester, SpyBar Chicago and many more!  Known for playing a high energy, roof raising set, Lee Foss is set to be a great addition to the MADE Birmingham line-up!
